Classic cartoon characters and strange fantasy worlds

I draw and paint by hand, both analogue and digital. Works with several techniques and many different materials, for example pencil, charcoal, chalk, brush, marker, spray and digital drawing board. My favorite drawing/painting material is probably pencil and watercolour. All of Scriptorium’s works are, for example, painted in pure watercolour.

Background – shape & coloring

Has created all sorts of classic cartoon characters and self-created weird fantasy worlds. As a young person in the mid-80s, I spent over several years creating comics and strips based on a dream of being able to make a living from being a comic creator.

Was I lucky enough to have Peter Madsen as a mentor who taught me a lot about the comics medium and watercolor coloring when he employed me as a colorist’s assistant on one of his fantastic Valhalla albums.

I have made a pile of illustrations, strips, figure logos, and everything illustrative for various associations’ and members’ magazines, until the digital world really took hold and the arrival of the new computer came crashing through.

The pencil has gradually been replaced by a mouse because there was such a great need for website design. Before that I managed to work with smaller illustration tasks for Disney/Egmont and the publisher Carlsen here in Denmark. I also managed to produce an as yet unpublished children’s book as well as several smaller stories.
