Documenting Danish Graffiti
Graffiti.dk is an online museum that only exists digitally. The project is a 40 year Hip Hop anniversary gift 2024. It is an open project that focuses on Danish urban art and historical cultural communication on an academic and serious level.

The purpose of the Graffiti.dk project is to document the subject of Danish graffiti both historically and contemporary from all over Denmark. Along with the Hip Hop culture, graffiti made its way into Denmark in 1984 and in 2024 it celebrated its 40th anniversary. It was celebrated with an impressive exhibition and huge concert in the forum and this website with a focus on Danish graffiti.
The project was also created as a tribute to a unique Danish art story that has not been told online before and a thank you and memory to the many writers who have been taken on to Valhalla. The project began in 2017, with the first years mainly spent on research. Only in January 2024 did the actual setup and construction of the web project begin.
The project went online on October 20, my 60th birthday.
